I was pleasantly surprised by Zemi Miches. It is very well done and feels luxurious. Compared with nearby Dreams Playa Esmeralda, Zemi would take the cake for me for a family wedding group that is comfortable without adults-only areas. I felt it was a step up in quality, and I liked its wedding venues and options better for large groups.

What I loved

I loved the bungalows and the overall luxurious feel.
During my September 2026 visit, the water at Zemi was much calmer than what I experienced by Secrets and Dreams Playa Esmeralda. I also noticed more people swimming in the ocean at Zemi.
The wedding settings and possibilities for larger groups stood out to me.

Who I recommend it for

Families and wedding groups with children who want a luxurious all-inclusive setting and do not need an adults-only area.
Larger groups interested in exploring private event spaces or a tailored buyout arrangement, subject to the resort’s current requirements.

What to know

If I wanted an adults-only stay and did not want children around, I would choose Secrets Playa Esmeralda and consider Preferred Club for its more exclusive setting. Dreams Playa Esmeralda is the family-friendly comparison.
